This current work on my desk was inspired by God, by the word of God. As God creates, in the beginning of the bible.. at the end of the day, after looking at what was accomplished God saw that is was good. I can relate! Everyone gets that feeling of accomplishment when pouring love into a project and it turns out great! From sketch to canvas to finished painting! Maybe even better than we anticipate! We were created to create.
I had this wooden board in my studio for months, painted just white, I was reading the bible... looked at that bored and instantly saw exactly what I wanted to paint and how and why! I then sketched it with my bible notes & decide where & WHAT wording would go where, some obvious, some not. Then sketched it in a sketch book with more image detail and planning, then sketched (painted it) on the wood and could not wait to continue. All in a day. Then it sat for weeks & I was forced to beg for it to be cut out and still ignored for another couple of weeks. Then it was done, done wrong, intentionally. Destroyed, actually. I can't get into details without getting angry so I won't. This art (creation) then flew across the garage, along with a lot of anger & swearing and it sat for a long time. With it went any last crumb of trust.
I was very angry, (rage anger) another nasty stunt - like building a coffin isn't enough.
The art was restored and repaired, complete with apology, the art repaired but the trust never will be.
Frankly, I'd think myself 'stupid'... stupider' if I did, at this point. My first instinct was to pick it up and toss it outside again but then he wins, he accomplished his task.
I have forgiven and will even forget - BECAUSE I will put nothing but love into this art like I intended, with intentions of love, for my creator & I will look at it when done and reminded - like life- we can choose to give up or MOVE past...
We can see all things as gifts & blessings instead of chores or burdens.. It is ALL about CHOICE.
I choose not to give up but I choose Rise up.
You 'taught me a lesson alright, one I am not soon to forget, thank you.
Just a short detour, a tiny stumble on the path to greater things.
I won't mention it again, it's a lesson a few learned. God knows.
I will paint it with my first intentions & it's going to be beautiful - I'm creating it to Thank the Lord!
To praise Jesus! Of course it's going to turn out lovely - I'll focus on Jesus, continue to rise up and the rest will be looked after by The Lord. Don't let anyone steal your Joy. Don't give attention to what does not deserve your attention or to what drains your energy & Peace. I'll share it January 1st. 2026. With intentions of love for the new year and appreciation for Jesus & his never ending love for us all.
I'm excited for 2026 - I did a few cartoons :) I'm ready & excited to share my bible inspirations! To spread joy!
Joy and Jesus!
