What a beautiful day yesterday was, today is wet cold and slippery, at least it's not snow. Out of curiosity I checked back the past few years and this time last year we had snow - the 27th- we were hit so -who knows, there still is a few hours to go. I'm happy there is no snow but become sad at the thought of no snow... it could go either way, global warming or global freezing - oh, it's all up in the air these days. Why I give it to God and carry on!
Because it's the season, most of my projects are gifts, big and small so I can't show them... just in case th recipient happens to check out my blog, I like it to be a surprise. I'll have them packaged and ready to go, should Canada Post end the strike or perhaps it's time to check out the alternatives - see Canada Post? I'm not the only one thinking this way... It's harder to get a customer back than to keep a customer. Oh well, not my problem, one way or another gifts will be gotten! It's not the end of the world if they arrive late, speaking about the end of the world...
I was reading an interesting article about a brochure handed out to all citizens in Sweden, every door step, preparing them for: what to do if war breaks out. Low and behold many other countries have gotten these pamphlets, brochures, instructions... whatever you want to call them for fear of escalation with Russia. A top Nato military official is also telling leaders they should prepare for a 'wartime scenario'. Is there something we don't know? Apparently they've had to be careful as they don't want people to panic but agree, it's better to be prepared than to be concerned about the few that panic. The most turbulent times bring about the greatest changes, not always great comfortable' changes for humans.
It all makes me appreciate everyday even more. I think it wouldn't hurt for Canada to do the same.
Social media has great Christmas craft ideas (many with recycling items & regifting ideas) today I'm trying the chocolate chickpea snack. For anyone wanting to paint Christmas cards - checkout Youtube! What a difference a few years has made, there are countless free lessons for all levels. I know how to paint but usually 'tweak' my art watching demonstrations - everyday is an opportunity to become better. Time to finish some of the cards!
Below is the snow we had last year on November 27th... there's still a few hours to go - you never know what Mother Nature has in store until it hits us. Please be kind, Mother Nature.
