I am still amazed at learning - when Tucker Carlson asked Sam Altman - Who's moral code is Ai directed by? Sam said
(I can't remember his exact wording - I encourage you to watch) ..his. HIS!? He is the one who decides & dictates what's right and wrong for all humanity? Are you serious? Him.... Phhhhbt. The arrogance of 'these people' is astounding.
This above interview is difficult to comprehend the LOSS of jobs, soon, that I had not even considered. Good bye BUS drivers, taxi drivers & Doctors! Good bye retail and bank tellers (I guessed that one a while ago). Good bye to any phone service that handles calls, complaints etc.. mentioning places where not just a few hundred will be impacted, entire countries. You're worried about immigrants taking your jobs? Ai is taking everyones jobs. People think - yay! But Ai - won't being paying your bills. A universal income! UBI Yay! ... an income that will just cover your low income rent, carbon allowance in food, TV to keep you entertained (distracted) and little else. You can read good and bad about universal income.. if it was 'that good' - why not do it sooner than later, we've already done studies.
All this, anticipated to happen in less than 5 years.. 2 or 3. It doesn't sound like anyone is about to benefit.
He was saying (an example) Ai now reads email, so say Paul sends his boss an e mail suggesting they replace the outdated Ai or try something new.. Ai will read this email & will be capable of then concluding: Paul is having an affair with another employee... Ai will let Pauls boss and wife know - to save it's own Ai ass. I know it sounds insane - yet here we are. He said so much I'm kinda shaking my head as I still absorb the information. One thing became crystal clear.... If WE ALL don't force policy changes NOW, it will easily get out of control, and there will be no turning back. Now.
My headache has adjusted to the winter storm and I fell physically better today! Thank you Lord.
