New bench!
Come to me, all who are weary & burdened and I will give you rest.  Matthew 11:28.

Yay!   I saved the cushions from our old sofa - 30 years, they made great little dog beds but now they are once again a sofa/bench in the middle of the forest, close to Jesus & Daisy.

We placed a bench out there last year but it was uncomfortable, wobbly and the dogs did not like it, this one - as soon as the cushions were up - they were on it! A seat for us all.  It's nap comfortable.  It's in the sunshine  & we'll attach an umbrella just in case we need some shade,  I added some old pillows and it's perfect. In the fall, I'll throw a tarp on it.

Yes, those are PJ pants hahaha! Who's gonna see me - bear?

It's a bit of a hike I tell ya! I'm always sweaty when I return, the trail is easy enough (mostly) but we still have to be careful of small stumps, rocks, mud... easy to slip & slide if not paying attention.  The bench had to be assembled there,  as it was too big and awkward to bring in the UTV.  It's so beautiful out there & now we'll linger a little longer.  I even placed a hook on the end to hang my rosary- it's the perfect spot for prayer- as is everywhere.

We try to go out at least once a day, sometimes two - quite the difference from the winter when we hardly walk anywhere... we make up for it in nice weather.  Thanks to Norm, I told him yesterday morning: "I want a better bench by Jesus! Use the old sofa cushions."    It didn't take long, thankfully.  Storm has also been very busy in the forest cleaning the branches (a lot of work) and making tiny habitat igloos, the small critter love it, I see them run in when they see the dogs coming.   With the exception of deer fly & mosquitos - it's perfect weather for exploring the forest.  God willing, I'll be walking it for at least another 20 years! lol My mom is 82 and can do it! Ginger on the other hand  is at a snail pace the last leg  ( she's so cute- hahaha), albeit my chubby girl never gives up!   Enjoy this day the Lord has made & remember to rest...

Come to me all you who are weary & burdened, and I will give you rest!    `Jesus.
Amen.
