A fish wish for a wonderful future & adventure! Acrylic on wood, about 24 inches... I forgot to measure ;)
There's something about painting on wood... cut out wood is even better - it adds an element of fun and realism. A friend recently tied the knot and I know he is a serious fisherman - his new wife too! So - what better way to wish them well on their continued joint venture - with a fish! Also included is the date - so he'll never forget his anniversary while out fishing.. lol
I still have a couple of projects on wood - waiting to be painted! One, I've had for 3 years.. and looking at it now, I am going in a completely different direction. Next, will be my new mushroom decor.. I'm going to put it on my window ledge so even in the depth of winter - covered in snow - there will be mushrooms to see an enjoy keep me excited for spring, what Canadian is never excited for spring. Today it's cold & fire is going, I love having a fireplace - not only does it heat our home efficiently but it is beautiful & relaxing to watch, pour a coffee, pick up a book & ponder mood.
I noticed a few books lately I've started and put aside which is normal, I often read about 3 books at a time but today I decided - nope - the next book I pick up I am finishing! My list of 1/2 finished books is growing & I want to get it back down to 3. I'm also making this 'chocolate bar' recipe (below) I saw on social media- it sounds too easy and I do crave a chocolate crunch' from time to time, I'll let you know how it turns out.
Have a creative day! There are fall festivities up here all weekend for those wanting to take a drive and enjoy the Haliburton forest - still some yellow leaves on the trees too! Below is where I'm going to check out this weekend! A petting zoo & I might know the goats! I'm also getting pumpkins for the chickens and me and the dogs love pumpkin too.
Have a creative day!
