Check out my Little bear for blooms.. clay DAS air dry. It's may and I am excited for flowers! I did it ! I broke out the clay for another Bear for my private collection heehee. I have 2 tea light candle holder & match holder, I made last year and now I'm making a Bear to hold blooms! It's positive projection. I can see it full of flowers already... can you? It's difficult with fingers that are not agile but I ordered some clay tools from DeSerres and they worked out perfectly in assisting with adding some detail & the paint will add with even more! Do you know what's great about arthritis? It teaches you other ways to do things and forced me to give up some level of 'Clay perfection' that I use to have and just create for the enjoyment of creating with clay.
I have another tinier jar today for a 'bud vase. I'm also encouraging creation over consumption. I want some new decor, like everyone else... I can create what I want with time and patience & practice. Yes, I have been creating forever but it's never too late to learn. DAS has a great site on IG with tons ideas for all levels. One of the most important things you can do is encourage creativity in your kids. If you don't have DAS - make Flour & Salt dough for crafts..
I am not showing all my art on social media anymore because of articles I've been reading about Ai. As well as numerous artist who are sharing how others are taking their art images, without permission and using them in various ways, including making money from them. I'm not necessarily concerned but I'm sick of seeing it, knowing it's happening and supporting it. Every time I log on, I am indeed 'supporting it'. As of 2026, Instagram offers an ad-free subscription option in the UK and EU, with prices varying by region and device type. In the UK, users can subscribe to an ad-free version of Instagram, while in the EU, the cost is approximately €10 per month for desktop users and €13 for mobile users, with additional accounts costing €6 each. So SOON Canada & USA, you'll have to pay for IG too, Fuck that. Holy cow they want to BLEED US DRY. Pay for everything. Albeit, without US using the service they don't have a fucking product. We will pay for everything & own nothing, if this carnage' on Canada continues. It's coming.. if you don't think so you're in for a rude awakening.. stop buying crap. Encourage yourself to create instead, occupy your mind & resources.
Stop. Stop feeding the beast. I won't be. You have to $pay Instagram to make sure you are the owner of your own page?! Should that not be a natural protection, a security thing. A company proven to manipulate us all emotionally is now going to charge us to manipulate us, with or without Ads. Nope. I'm done. I make this decision and rest with God in certainty knowing... IF God wants you known, you will be. I can see how it is destroying relationships and more and I don't want to encourage it. Have you read the increase in suicide in young women associated with social media?? Social media can harm young girls by contributing to body dissatisfaction, disordered eating, and negative self-image, particularly due to exposure to unrealistic beauty standards. Additionally, excessive use is linked to increased risks of depression and anxiety.
And it's ALL ages, all people - no one is exempt from having their feelings hurt, no matter what they might say. I noticed a 'friend' on social media who likes lots, all sorts of photos and art but never mine, yet they rarely miss a story post and they too are never liked'.. it's not the likes that I don't get that bothers me.. it's knowing it's a real "friend" that doesn't take the time to acknowledge, ever. What's up with that? What does it take to say 'I see you' with one simple click of a heart or thumbs up emoji, at an epoch when that is exactly what we are doing - every day, all day. It all feels quite shallow lately. I do have friends who I still want to say hello to' and support but I'm done putting my art out there and if/when we have to pay to go ad free- AS IF WE ARE not seeing enough fucking ads as it is!!? No, I will not comply, I will end my IG.
...Which will ironically bring me more peace & time for more creations ! YAY! Praise Jesus.
This wee bear blooms holder need 24 hours to dry before I paint!
Onto the next.. I'm also hoping to take out my Noah Ark to take photos, if the rain stops - lol.
P.S. if these below are not an impending sign of how gullible we are as a society, to actually buy these.. at a pretty penny no doubts, I don't know how much. Is it a marketing joke? If not the jokes on whom ever falls for it. Literally.
