Birthday week blessings!

My Birthday was last Monday.  'Just another day'... I said to Storm.
Storm and I  visited the ROM, my gift  from him (a fantastic day) but I didn't want to celebrate my birthday other than that for several reasons.
My age was not one of them,  I'm 53 and 'amazed' to be here - lol.
My bodies looking good - I've been focusing on peace, I feel as though I'm getting stronger, mind & body EVERY DAY!

I was surprised by 2 - on the actual day. First 'Chuck, I've mentioned him before- my American pal- he is the one responsible for me TRYING to figure out why anyone would vote for Don - he sent me an e mail - 'for my sexy Canadian friend...'- he never fails to flirt my pal Chuck, :)  - I swear-  it's  10 years - we have been e mailing back and forth.  It was  really nice to get.\ the simple message from.. a stranger I've never met yet- never forgets.
Next 'Dawn sent me a comment here... I met Dawn at the first EXPO- she came with her hubby and all her dogs! I think she had 9 pets  that she travelled with from B.C.! I liked her, a woman after my own heart with her animal appreciation, I liked her husband too- quite & gentle comes to mind when I think of him.  How did she remember and how lovely she took the time. - it thew me.. I became emotional reading her message.
Thank you Universe & Dawn  for the message.

No celebrating, no gifts and on my birthday that is what happened - until Tim Hortons decided to give me a free coffee.  lol   Yeeeee!!!

Storm left for Spain the next day- it was e a quite birthday week. .. I missed him the moment he left.  That too was a gift from the Universe - my son away on an adventure with friends does a mom's heart good! I am beyond thrilled for him, as always.

The next day a friend showed up for a  business meeting (**I am helping with a new product that will change the world for Dogs! REALLY!! I'm beyond excited-but I've signed a legal disclosure - I am NOT allowed to speak of it until hits the market!!) and she brought me a mug' with a logo I designed on it a few years back!  Gift 2 from Rachael & the universe... even though I was determined NOT to tell anyone.

Next, I visited Kat- who's gallery has sold!! A friend of 30 years.. is moving to Montreal to be with her love.  She will still do my framing she has assured me! I spied a 'Silver Bird while there,  Kat insisted on it being a gift & is framing my  favourite bears- for me!  I told her 'after' it was my birthday week' lol  & YOU can all thank Kat - as she gives me my matts to paint on & a gift of matts was waiting too!

I came home to hear a message on my machine from a friend:
"Georgia, watch your mail box- I've sent you a small gift"... there is NO way in hell he knew it's my birthday week.
I received a postcard in the mail form a woman 1/2 across the globe thanking me for my inspiration!  & the Sugru- I ordered came in the mail!! Yeee- lol  I already Sugru'd Storms apt while away! hahahaha  It was a week full of tiny gifts that made me feel huge.
or 'Yuge'...   lol  (poor Don- he is a cartoonist dream)

Thank you for your little gifts that have my heart & mind looking past all those I wouldn't be hearing from & reminding me to listen to all who do want to wish me a Happy birthday, Happy Day and Happy Life.

Time to paint... That little fox was a fun afterthought' .. something was just missing. I recorded him being born' with time-lapse- you can watch it on my IG account: https://www.instagram.com/p/BRj_ZiJAaPG/?taken-by=georgia.toonswww.instagram.com/p/BRj_ZiJAaPG/?taken-by=georgia.toons

Simply, Print the cards.  *I HIGHLY reccomend gluing the sheet of paper onto a card stock or thin piece of cardboard- the type from a cereal box works best! Recycle! Glue, leave overnight to dry- then COLOR!  I love this part.  Cut down the middle and in-between each card, write a tiny note on the back and deliver!
Either by hand or mail if you glued it to a cardboard stock- no problems!
You see I made a sample below- mailing it out-- who will get it?

Every day, all day.
Painting brings me peace.
I made a painting for this tiny dome.. water color, it was fun and has inspired one for my desk, more detailed I think.. a little forest scene.  I'll show you when complete.
The only difficulty is cutting...   I'll figure something out ;)

What will you create today?

Welcome Fish!!

Battle for the Bay is the weekend!!  Our son Storm is chairman for Muskies Canada Barrie division, and this weekend coming is the 'Battle for the Bay!' One lucky fisherman - or woman will bring home a hand painted, original 'Welcome'  sign!
There are many wonderful prizes- but only one painted fish! lol
I do plan on selling the other two, I'm always asked, so why not.
I will paint  one for myself too - a multi colored 'Welcome' Musky.
This is a creative break for me- I turn up my iPod.. Gerry Rafferty.. gets me going- and I just dab... with a brush. lol  Up close it looks like scales.  I medicate as well. My mind wanders and I have FUN..  amused, entertained and left to daydream. Boy can I day dream. lol
Especially when painting standing at my easel.
I 'get lost' & love it...   or,  am I found?
hmmmmmmmm...   stuff to ponder.

I left it to the last few days as usual but they look terrific!
Want one? Come out and catch (and release) a Musky!
You might win a fish, lure or trophy!
Not to mention the fun you will have. It was how big?  hee hee hee
I believe Storms biggest was 56' to date..  There will be food!! Fun & fish!
If you are a fisherman/woman you can still attend!
I'm looking forward to it! I'll be painting on site.
Back to it! Then a  new cannabis cartoon for tomorrow.
Have a creative day! Do what you love- time flies!

Mini Moleskine Sketchbook

I've been Buuuuzzzzzzzy! Check out my 'bee box hempwick* dispenser 'I designed and painted! Hempwick is a company I friended years ago and every now and then we give each other stuff. because it's what friends do. No money, just fun, love and BEEing.  They have free samples BTW- with my little toon on some of them ;)  It is by far one product I don't do without, since I prefer to use a bong I like to lite it with hempwick rather than just a lighter.
We made two, one for them and one for me! the other on my living room dresser.

My little watercolor moleskine sketching/painting was so much fun at the winery the the other day- I've decided to do it more! More painting moments- live- I don't have to travel the world- it would be nice and still in the works for this fall.. until then, I'll paint my backyard and the bigger version of.
This image with the pond one was literally my back yard, complete with the glass  'totem' my friend Cathy made me!
Today, I flipped a blanket I had lying out back and had an encounter with a bunch of wasps!  They must have been building a next under it and my hands were being swarmed and stung as soon as I flipped it! lol- I nearly jumped in the pool! I immediately called the girls! LET'S GO! and flew from the pool deck up into the house- Storm came running as he heard the commotion. I spent the rest of the day painting in my office - away from bees.

I've so much on my mind these days..  painting and thinking, the days fly.
I didn't plant much of a garden only a few plants in pots, I can't be bothered. I feel as though all this stuff just ties me down & prevents me from doing what I really love to do.
What for? For the sake of feeling obligated just because I've done it for so many years before. I don't think so. Change is in the air right now- I found a red hair color!
I'm gonna have some fun.
Change has begun.

Pinocchio says: No Bullshit.

Picture
Yesterday, I painted just for fun - yet with a purpose! lol
My kermit the frog headphones keep getting in my way- or I hang them on my comp - then I can't see... So I needed "a thing to hang on the wall - like this - exactly" and handed it to my personal contractor ;)  He just looked at me, the drawing and walked away.   20 minutes later he was back - what was I thinking I should have said - make the 'pole' removable - at least until I paint it. I almost blinded my good eye! LOL

Inspired by the little pencil box, I've had FOREVER and still sits on my desk to this day - well worn, Snow white says "Please Be Tidy".  Well we all Know Pinocchio- NO BULLSHIT!
It will hold my headphones and remind me - no bullshit - i don't. As a matter of fact Im knowns for being 'blunt'.  If we can't be truthful with friends - good and bad. what does friend mean? No bullshit & don't bullshit me.  Sooner or later I figure it out.
Then, I try to figure out the reasoning before I decide... do I remove this person from my path. Permanently.   & YES to remind me - don't bullshit - at what cost?
No thanks.   There is no need. So - careful what you ask. ;)

From start to finish this had me giggling for numerous reasons,  imagine the look on these two's faces when they see me painting this tall, flesh colored thing on my desk.  I don't tell them what I'm doing.  I like them to see it finished like everyone else! ;)
I did keep having to adjust my face around painting Pinocchio, liked the looks I gave them both. I also cleaned my painting room a bit still more to go.. then I'm back on that Raven in the Cannabis field.

Today, I'm drawing 'A' from all the suggestions on FB. A & F will be the first two free downloads.   What about you?
What Are you creating today?
Who are you inspiring?

I am not on FB, I have the next few posts 'Scheduled', I can do that with my page - up to 6 months in advanced, and as many posts as I want, dates and times all chosen.
It's a pretty cool feature I'm taking advantage of more - so I can paint even more.

I am Not a Body, I am free!
I am as God created me!
I won't let this twitch get to me.

Believe!

Forrest Elf

30/12/2015

Forrest Elf is finished, it was a wonderful way to spend the first snow fallen day!
This is a piece of wood from up in Halliburton that I picked on my last visit!  My friend had them on his property- wood slices, pulled from the water of a long ago existing  Saw Mill.
I found a saw blade at the same time - still waiting for paint.
I was determined to paint a bluejay on this wood, wanted terribly to paint a bird on the smooth surface but this ELF kept screaming to all who looked. I saw a face but was more content on focusing on a blue jay - then my friend Linda said - 'I see a face!' My cousin saw a face, Norm saw a face and right until painting day.. the Elf won.  lol
I posted a photo on Facebook and it appears that most do see him there.

I worked around it all the while thinking I would add paint to the face last - no - it wanted to stay as is.. then I thought it would be fun to show anyone and ask 'what do you see?'  The rest takes a way from the face but not by much. I'm really curious to see if any little ones spot it! Above all else it was relaxing & enjoyable!!!

Some prime PIN time - the iPad comes in very handy - I had a real 'airhead' moment.
I was searching bark on PIN.  Then I looked at what I was painting. hee hee hee
I learned Poppy does not share well.  Scruffy was chilling on the pillow - until the heater turned on and then Poppy moved right in. lol
Daisy is no longer permitted up stairs.  She nearly sent me flying down the stairs  20 times a day- and is constantly under my feet in my  painting room. I finally had it a few weeks ago, became very FIRM about the new rule - making sure everyone participated &  am happy to say she is already listening & no longer comes upstairs- we should have done it sooner - it is nice to her to stay OFF my bed also.  Poppy & Scruffy play more upstairs.

I hope you like my Forrest Elf. I think I know exactly where to hang him for a little while anyhow. OH - while painting - the little knot fell out. so I turned it into a mushroom and it may be removed. I will attach it with a piece of wishing line so it does not get lost.  It is an added little detail of fun!

Tomorrow is New years Eve.
2016 is here... Just another day? Just another year- never!
There is always much to be hopeful for!  I'm ending it on some great news and know it will continue on the same track.
We have plans.

Weekend  to do list!

26/9/2015

It's the weekend and we have a to do list that must get done.
I am an early bird! I try to keep quiet on the weekends so Norm can sleep in but he usually follows around 8:00 a.m.,  & before 9 this morning I had 'us' crafting! lol
I have an old kitchen table and chairs, at least 3 families before me have owned it - I will have a harvest table of my dreams - as soon as Norm gets around to building it.  ;)
In his spare time.  There is no way we are paying $100's when I know eventually... the one we have will be beautiful and made with TLC  in the meantime - we have a table and chairs that frighten some. Mostly me.
The seats - I couldn't take anymore - I had an idea- We covered 4 chairs & handmade TWO  * one 12' long table runners for ThanksGiving for $20!  They turned out terrific if we do say so ourselves! Have a  peek below.
Again, I make it look soon easy - I do have private contractor by my side the entire way - hee hee hee...  he does al the hard stuff. I paint, take photos & make coffee.
Thanks to Norm for his assistance on this project.

Norm and I also visited the  "thrift store"  I found a few tiny projects I thought would be fun to show you some 'before and after creations'!  Amazing what a bit of paint can do & something old is new again! Be watching the blog for them.  I might even give one away - to brighten someones day!

A few other things on my mind.. while I create...
`I saw an old friend today I had not seen in about 15- 20 years.. he gave me the best hug ;)
How neat.
`I have 2 accounts on FB and I decided to delete the the other the other morning, it's more work, more messages and more time stealing..   I decided - enough - after I posted on my sons page to wish him a happy birthday, I would delete the page.
Not realizing the one post vanished.  ;( .
I was glad I wished him a happy Birthday on my Georgia Toons page! Whew!
Sure enough I am reminded I have no feed...  I out of curiosity logged in since deleting the page and there it was. Not deleted. Still there.
Waiting.
What to do .. what to do....

I'll decide another day... it's time to go and paint.
Have Faith!

We found these foam shapes behind Walmart, garbage tossed from packaging we figure.
A peace sign shouted out! Well we had two, they looked like a Mercedes symbol you can see the piece we added.  Follow the photos below - step by step ... pretty easy stuff really!

I checked out Leslie The Bird Nerd just after posting this project and read this:
Today is also 'International Day of Peace'
The theme of this year’s commemoration is “Partnerships for Peace – Dignity for All” which aims to highlight the importance of all segments of society to work together to strive for peace.
`Wishing you all a lovely and peace-filled day

How cool was that?  No wonder this peace sign called to me!
Peace be with you!   Make your own!  If you don't have foam use cardboard!
Use your imagination! I made a peace sign out of grapevine!
Photos below!

A Very happy Birthday to the love of my life.. Storm, who is a young man of 23 years old.
I am beyond proud of the man he has become, and I've no doubts will continues to be.

Lovely  Long weekend.

31/8/2014

It's been a great long weekend & It's NOT over!
Today, I decided to get crafty and create a sign for the front door entrance.
I wanted to use pallets - Free wood.
I WILL admit,  Norm did re-nail them a 'bit closer' for me, and then sanded the entire thing with an electric sander. Accomplishing in mere minutes what would take me hours.
Storm carried it out back and I painted in the sunshine!
Now it hangs in the front entrance and I am already working on a Christmas one!!!

Most days, it is a good thing when you must keep busy.
I also drew the cover for the NEXT Cannabis Digest newspaper!
You might be aware, we love Halloween.. It was so much fun.
(more on the cover - after it is published)
It's like crack for my brain thinking of halloween!  ;)
I can't share it - You have to wait until it hits 'news stands' like me!

Imagine if we were all permitted to just do what we love?
Have faith! Give thanks and NEVER give up!!!

Yippie! Give thanks!

We are going for Thanks Giving dinner! I invited us to my cousins - LOL,  and then e mailed her to see if it was o.k. She said YES!!
I am excited! Poppy is coming as well (I’m a bit nervous to leave her a full day still - she is soooo tiny)  Well, anyone who knows me  KNOWS I’d rather spend 8 hours crafting than 2 hours cooking - So I don’t bake to take - i make!

Here’s the thing - my cousin is pretty darn talented and crafty herself (as is her family) so what to make-  Pallet craft! Something for fall!

This is what I came up with - It is NOT an original Idea I think I came across something like it on PIN But I ‘fine tooned it’.  Instructions are under each image ;-) have fun!

Happy Thanks Giving!

Paper mache pooch!

Picture
Here it is step by step!
Made from an empty dog biscuit container! Recycling at it's finest!
What you need for this craft :
Plastic Container, *odds and ends
Newspaper, card board
Masking tape, scissors
Toilet paper - I did not even use a full roll for this pup!
White glue & water.  Acrylic paints
Protective spray (especially for outdoors)

Parents School is almost out! Who does not have these supplies?  This is a fun cradt - the only downside is drying time I could not wait to paint! Unlike paper strips and glue paste - this way is MUCH easier and cleaner!!! So Have some fun. I just  'winged it' wit this dog. I did not even have a sketch of what I was going to make.  *Odds and ends are any old plastic  cups, corks, balls,  all stuff that can be built up and taped over  I used Bubble wrap to make the head (nice and light) A few Styrofoam balls for the eyes and the little details like eyelids and nipples are just balls of toilet paper rolled up and papered over..  Below easy instructions!
I hope this helps... HELPS you turn OFF the television and make something creative!!!!
I had so much fun Im starting a mini scruffy vase today and working on a giant 'tiki man' soon!!  In between drawings.
xox <><
PARENTS HINT:  parents - don't make it an ANIMAL.
Make it a MONSTER - then you release the creativity and if when done one eyeball is lower - or one arm not quite where it 'should be' who will know! Cause monsters come in all shapes and sizes and colors!!

My first kids coloring MINI book! Print it FREE

14/5/2013

I wanted to make a little hand-out for kids that might come to the EXPO, and for kids in general. A conversation starter. There have been several children over the years.
One page. Something to color with the added bonus of a few folds and a simple cut and you make a cute little book. Saw it on PIN.  I drew this today and have since asked FB friends their opinion of what should be in a book. I have a few new ideas and hope to try to keep making these pages and keep them circulating!

Every page is an opportunity to talk to your children about Cannabis and making healthy choices in general! Please feel free to copy and print it out I have also added  photos that  show you where to cut and how to fold below the coloring sheet ;-)!!
Print out a few and plant the seed of TRUTH in young minds &  you plant the seeds of curiosity,  understanding and compassion as well!  Have fun!  XOX
I hope it works  I will ask a friend tomorrow how to load it so you can download it as a coloring sheet.

Free & Easy!
Pallets - you can get them everywhere! Behind most big businesses, hardware stores, gardening stores, factory warehouses - all waiting to be tossed in the trash. My hubby use to pick them up; as then burn great for an outdoor fire pit.
Now I have seen the wonderful creations popping up all over and why not! REuse!
You can be as busy or as simple as you want!
I love seeing the pallets as head boards and it is on my list of things to do.
I love the rustic look. I'm already planning on placing lights behind mine...
Valentines day is about LOVE. Not money.
One of the sweetest things my husband ever did was spray paint a giant red heart in the snow on the front lawn, we had no money for gifts so he got creative!  I thought it was very sweet that morning when I opened the drapes. I  remember it most. I have forgotten the 'stuff'.  So  get creative! SHOW your love!
*Thank you to my son and best friend Cathy who came over and assisted me with this craft, still recovering from surgery - I could not have put the pallets together myself. Cathy was mostly for the company!  My pallet will be displayed in the garden this spring! I will be reminded of those who love me & I will also remember what seeds I want to plant!
...Besides Cannabis ;-)

I love these little hearts and leaves- the photos do not do them justice. They hang in my studio window and gently turn in the breeze. With the different 'shades' it makes it look like beautiful stained glass.  I think I'm going to do it again only next time all different colors and I'm going to cut out tons of butterfly shapes and drape them across the window to give the appearance for flying!
This craft is VERY easy and fairly safe, other than cutting the crayons and hot iron it is easily adaptable to do with children too!  I had a couple of 'leaves' left over I put one in an envelope and mailed to a friend for her window ;-) and just stuck the other to my window with a bit of glue stick.   Be creative! have fun and most importantly - Enjoy the sunshine!

These Canvas's cost pennies to make! Once finished they can make quite an impact!
What better way to express your feeling with words. IF you don't feel like painting - you could  follow the first few steps and then collage real leaves on the canvas- It of course does not have to be about cannabis.  How cute to do a canvas covered in dog quotes, jokes and saying and then add a silhouette of your favorite canine pal! As with all art the ideas are endless. Have fun  medicate and create- do what brings you peace! ☮♥☯

Wow! I woke up this a.m. and logged on to Facebook - knowing I would see who the President was- Yeah Obama! I am glad Obama got a second term and did not think it fair that anyone could go in after GB and even come close to 'fixing' any of that. We are told a successful business has a very difficult first 5 years and many do not go on past 3, so why should this be any different?  I also LIKE him as a person. Not that we are chums but I believe he is a good person. Now I hope he legalizes across the USA for Cannabis. The American people need to make the choice for themselves. HE ALSO knows the truths of cannabis being a cannabis consumer himself.
THEN to read that 2 - even 3 have decided to become 'LEGAL STATES' is FANTASTIC! People are getting sick of others being treated like criminals for a recreational drug that is FAR less harmful than Alcohol, never mind patients being treated like criminals for their medicine! Hope! I can smell it in the air. ;-))

Then this afternoon I pick up my mail only to see the newest issue of Canada's 420 insider!
I can not thank all the magazines enough - What better way than to plant he seed for many to see and they do it for me! I get the fun part! Drawing!  This is one of the magazines to feature the craft and a woman who already did the craft e mailed me and thanked me! How cool is that ;-) I've educated and inspired, a mom and daughter had a quality craft, time and memory together - now that, I did not count on and it made my DAY!  I am especially excited as the next issue out is the Christmas cover!! My first official cover and a Christmas one! I had so much fun drawing it!  ♥♥♥

Now in 3 magazines as a regular feature!!!  I can not thank the magazines enough- I really believe this is just one more way to bring Cannabis into our everyday lives. To be seen as the beautiful plant that it is and not some 'evil, deadly DRUG' that we have been led to believe! The more it is seen the more it will be recognized and if someone is just curious enough to research - then the seed is planted. Once researched - you can't deny.. lots of lies.
This craft can of course be used so many ways! Cut out your initials, make simple designs. For the cost of this craft - under $3.   have have fun! The more you make the better and easier it gets. I would  NOT ADVISE little ones to do this craft - but there is no reason they cannot draw on the eraser and an adult cut out! ;-)

Terrific T!

Time for a little T- alteration! I have so many tops with little blops of paint on them, I often add or bleach or tye dye  to hide or repair. Being an artist it comes with the territory so I alter rather than toss!
Thank you to ReLeaf magazine for being the 2nd to carry the craft features!  I have already had positive feed back on the Halloween craft, confirming it's time! Time to get Cannabis where it should be- accepted as a normal part of life for millions around the world. Recognized as a medicine - like so many others only this one is less toxic and won't kill you.  Out in the open.
NOTHING to be ashamed of!Cannabis is our medicine! Thank God!
Have fun! Make your own T-shirt and then wear it LOUD and PROUD!

This is an easy craft and if you have a few T shirts! Go crazy! All it takes are a few items and an idea! How nice also to wear your own art instead of someone else's.  I had someone suggest to try this craft with real leaves as well - I guess you could!  It is also a great craft to do with little ones. They can tape a shirt - no pattern needed - let them go abstract! Then stand back and spray!   (Always use caution when crafting with little ones! ) Remember to spray at MIST setting and lightly - you can always go back and spray some more. When I first tried I had too much bleach and ended up with holy mess after it was all done! It also was a bit lighter after it was washed. For an even softer look add more water  to less bleach. The only other key of importance is rub on your tape! The harder you rub the edges the stronger it will be with less bleeding when you remove the tape! Make sure it is DRY before you remove the tape!!   As you can see (below)  Tequila kept me humble and told me she much preferred my T as a place to rest her furry butt...

Craft class 2!

I had so much fun the night before I had to do it all over again! I had 2 pals come up and visit me from the city Marie & Aline, and normally we just sit and chat  because they are not artists.. but I thought - forget that!  EVERYone is an artist!
Everyone has the desire to create!
So I was ready! Hee hee hee, as you can see from the results above! We made stuff! LOL  It is not about skill it is about the act of creating, talking and making something. To make all the crafts  above would cost you less than 20$
Maybe even less if you already have a few wine glasses and mason jars around! And once you have the initial craft supplies - all you need is a surface to paint!

Nothing is safe in my home. In the past I have painted: Window blinds, appliances, shoes, leather jackets, garbage bins, plates, wood, paper, canvas, trees, fences, props, glasses, clay  even People and pets! Scruffy was once a easter egg for halloween blue with yellow dots. (Food coloring ;-))   I love to paint, craft but I love to DRAW more, the thing is with crafting you don't need to draw.
Marie and Aline had fun yesterday and so did I! How do I know they had fun? LOOK at the crafts! Poor Aline's kitty-lol will be brushed to make a fur top for her jar! These two friends do use cannabis medically. So there was that happening too in the room.
The day before -out of courtesy for my non-smoking friends I left the room, - in my own home,  because I have respect from my friends. They don't smoke and I never smoked cigarettes so I can relate. I am very much an anti tobacco smoker. If I had a boyfriend who smoked  -he quit or I dumped him - I also knew when he was ready to dump me - if he started to smoke again! hahaha!
It was a fun day again with laughter, good conversation and ideas to be had! Marie is also my assistant and friend so we had some EXPO talk too!
What have you got to do today?
At some point when you think of turning on that weapon os mass distraction - the T.V. - think again and craft! Stimulate your brain!  xox <><

My craft!
Craft night!
I don't get out much - lol
So instead I decided to invite over 2 friends to visit, chat and craft!
All three of us paint.
Linda is an amazing painter as well as makes beautiful jewelry, which I offer at the EXPO (LOVE her pants!) Ellen is also an incredible painter & works with kids!
But each of us is so different I love it! Every time we are together - someone will say something  inspiring! Tonight the crafts were MINDLESS - well for us three anyhow. The idea is NOT to stress but to  just go with the flow, relax, have fun and as you can see we did, each completely different! We did not have to sketch or plan we just did.  We sat and chatted and painted, laughed, listened to music, talked about our kids and husbands. Our art and passion. Neither of these two smoke Cannabis - medically or recreationally - neither have the desire - nor are they big drinkers! They both understand where I am coming from, understand Cannabis is our medicine and have no problems with it.  As Ellen said (hee hee hee)- come on - we are all artists who grew up in the 70's!  Nuff said.
We came together to create! I have known both these ladies for a few years but it is only recently that I have come to enjoy their company as friends, I promised myself to only surround myself with people who have good hearts ;-) are creative and want to make this place a better place ;-)   It is nice to socialize - no alcohol needed - I did have to medicate when my twitch started to become painful but just continued on after like nothing - cause thats what it is NOTHING!
You take advil, I smoke cannabis. You prefer to go chemical - I prefer to go natural.

I really like these two, tonight we have decided instead of a book club we shall have a craft club! Every two weeks. I am already looking forward to the next!
We are also planning an art show. The details in the new year! I will tell you one thing EVERY time we are together we inspire each other to be better artists - if not better people.  Imagine what were coming up with for our show!!! ❤

In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.

Medicine jar madness!   Happy Hallowe'en!

Here it is Your Hallowe’en craft! I want to thank  Canada's 420 insider for being the first magazine to pick up the craft feature! I believe part of the problem is Cannabis MUST become more mainstream. Not something to be whispered about.  Most magazines (especially women's magazines)  have a creative corner - so why should this industry be any different?  Cannabis is a part of millions lives daily for medicinal and relaxing reasons.

It has never killed anyone and is continuously being proven to alleviate all sorts of medical conditions. What better way to take this out of the closet and on the kitchen shelf where it belongs!!  In this fun and funky jar!

Don’t forget Cannabis is said to help people relax, let go and be creative! So HAVE some fun! We deserve to be happy, healthy and have fun! Make this funky Medicine jar! EVERY month I will have a craft featured in this magazine! Another magazine will also carry the crafts! That blog in just a few days!

There are a few notes below the craft and a few handy hints and a couple of more photos! ENJOY!! To get a copy of the magazine e mail [email protected]  * I am not sure how he will go about this but it does not hurt to ask! I will be in every month so you might want to pick up a subscription. ;-)
NOTE: My crafts will be under the tag- 'Let's get Crafty!' to see more.

AS stated I get most of my supplies from the Dollar store and will continue to do so when ever I can! There is no need for expensive supplies. It is a good idea to have basic crafting tools - Check out this link: Basic Craft supplies    In this craft I also used Mod Podge - pretty much a glue based clear coat- NOTE it does go on "milky" as seen in the photo below of the kitty catnip jar. Best to let it dry over night! It gives it a beautiful glossy coat and protects your work. I don't suggest you wash it, if anything you can wipe to remove dust (not that my medicine jar ever gets dusty) with a damp cloth. Mod Podge can be expensive so here is a link to make your own - I use it on almost everything! Make your own mod podge   and also here is a link to all sorts of Mod Podge crafts..  Mod Podge rocks!
You jar's can be used for all sorts of thing!  Fill with Candy, you can make many mini jars (baby food jars) and fill with hallowe'en treats for your special little ghouls.  Below is a jar I also did that is just for every day.  They make a terrific personal gift for storing medicine and more! If you  make a jar please send me the photo! I'll send you back a thank you in the mail ;-)
