I AM inspired by Bud Ross.   Bob Ross.  
Painter extraordinaire.  

If you can’t paint after watching this man, countless times- all available online for free - as I did while painting this bud,  Isn’t he  a talented little Bud?  A Budding Artist you might say!! lol 
You can see how he holds the pallet like a Pro, not to mention the tiny happy tree on the  tiny canvas. 

You can also watch on Netflix - where I squeeze in the occasional episode - usually alone, break time- but still want to keep inspired- Bob is the man. His voice is as calming as his brush strokes, except when ‘it gets a beating! “Beat the devil out of it!”  

Unquestionably, he makes me a better painter after every episode!
I watch him make a simple path- with a twist of his brush, perhaps “A happy accident…” - it become a trail deer might trod on.  Bob  helps us escape as well as paint.   Helps us relax. 
No wonder the man is a success.
How  superb he share his gift with he rest of us.

In all seriousness…

I’m done.  I read an article in Frobes called “I’m Done..”, what  several women remark  “I’m done with..”  I say it often, but never as much as I have this past year and into 2017.
 I HIGHLY recommend the read, especially for young women.
I want to start the year off with my “I’m done..  “ list, as the sooner I am done, the sooner I can get on with 2017.

I am done with apologizing, first  - for letting people I care about, know.
How many  never say how they feel and never get the chance a second time around.
How few ever hear anything nice…   too often they hear the opposite.  I can’t help myself. 

I’m done with thinking anyone on this planet is ‘better’ than I am.
More skilled, talented, wiser, older, richer, poorer, educated, cultured, religious  - none of these makes us better. The only one I try to be better than is myself the day before - somedays are easier than others. 

Which brings me to the next, I’m done. I’m done sitting, watching and not saying a peep- IGNORANCE IS BLISS.  I try to at least get some thinking- even if my words are grammatically incorrect. I DRAW, read and learn.  When we turn a blind eye to Child Abuse (for example), all of society pays. Sooner or later.

I am done with living my life for anyone but myself.  Your opinion of me does not matter.  Have you lived my life?  REALLY,  have I lived yours? Do I really have a clue- about any of you - other than tiny specks I’ve witnessed over the years? No.  The same rule applies. 

I’m done with chasing people and will chase my dreams - when i think of the times -I’ve let - ‘others lives, drama’  & FEAR of their own failures get in the way of me and mine - I ONLY have myself to blame!  I’M done.

I’m done with letting others hurt me - allowing for an excuses -  booze, grief, pain, work, life - who knows…or ME hurting them out of fear and retaliation & PAIN. Yes, I’M done  (I can hear the sigh of some breathing easier) I’m DONE.   If you show any signs - you do not want me in your life, family or friend - I’m done.  

I’m done.
I have Faith in God.  Therefore I have FAITH in myself.
God will put  people in my life who are also deserving of my company, body, mind & heart.

I’m also done with working for free, this includes my HIGHLY creartive ideas & time. Done with terrible service. 
Done with accepting anything less.   I want MORE. 

It took a very serious illness for me to get to this point. I’m done apologizing for it

Frankly, no one is worthy of a nasty blog, we are all in the same boat. 
& I won’t waste my time, thought, energy when there is so much to acquire in this universe.

This year, chances are - I’ll still tell  a few people to ‘Fuck off’ but I will try to be nicer about it - then...  I’ll be done.  lol     

NOW, It’s time to focus on what matters,  for me that is drawing & painting about those who need some assistance or LOVE - because I can.

How Low can they Go? I don’t know… pretty low. 
Changing the rules & laws to suit what ever works best for an already established corrupt Administration. Rise Up.  WE Stay High. 
Cannabis is here to stay.
Getting angry only gets people thrown in jail and gives the “Authority’ reason to shoot your dogs, as any dog lover knows - any loving dog will defend their master & sense the threat - so, many good dogs are going to die I’m afraid in the future, in the USA.  
A Good time for people to think about investing in the dog bite prevention kits, with my illustrations & puppy training - help prevent any event from harming a family member. 

When they Go Low - STAY HIGH. I don’t mean - sofa surfing the latest celebrity gossip on T.V. high. Educate! Yourself or someone on any topic that you are passionate about.  Hopefully, one will be Cannabis awareness. If Cannabis helps you feel better,  stay HIGH but stay active, creative and inspired.  Terrible news all the time can tear down the soul, throw in daily aches and pains, mental & physical, next you’re exhausted and not even enjoying all that you work so hard to accomplish. 
Stay Hi - when it helps you past the PTSD. 
Stay HIGH when dealing with chronic pain & even when dealing with a broken heart.. as many do starting the new year - it’s not healthy - so get HIGH, in  2016 you had a good cry - NOW get busy.  Heal thyself.  

This year... 
Chase your dreams not people, those who are meant to be in our lives will be.

I took steps to become better in 2016 was somewhat successful, when I sit, meditate, think positive thoughts about pleasant experiences & people - I had a smile on my face and everything seemed better… slowly.  I felt better, looked better and twitched less. Fact. 
It was work, I kid you not.  lol  I plan on working at it more this year.

I know what I need to focus on in 2017, more painting.  How about you?

2017! I’t’s  days away from a  new year! 
2016 was I believe a good year for Cannabis - As in ending the insanity and sending less humans to prison/court for it!  More states in the USA became legal, recreational (i think they like to call it ‘Adult’) and more medical, more lives helped.  Advances are being made, although the DEA still wants some way to convict and control.  I think this will always be the case, and IF you are doing something you should not- then you have to prepare for the possibility of still being prosecuted and going to jail.

What can I say? I don't agree with the ‘drug war’ at all, anymore.  I am just stating what I see & read happening.  We all understand BIG pharma will also want a piece of the Cannapie, still less will be in jail because of cannabis!  Fewer minor possession charges, and in Canada- wow- legalization in 2017 - fewer lives ruined for possession & growing. Everyone eventually able to grow 4 plants- I hope they do, it is such a beautiful plant!  
You then will also see fresh cannabis appearing  at the super market- for those that wish to juice and add some peppery bud to a  fresh salad! It will be all the rage!  Nom Nom Nom!  The times are changing. Thank God

Fellow Canadians, please let us not forget how terrible it was under Stephen Harper, the constant harassment, serious insults and more.  Patients never knowing which way to go- PRIVATE classified information being given out for everyone to see & note.  THREATENING Canadians (patients, many very sick & terminally ill)  to destroy OUR medicine in with ‘kitty litter’ - or we would be persecuted - raided by the police- shoot our dogs?  YES, a reality for some. 
I felt an incredible weight lifted off my heart when Justing became prime Minister.  Breath. 
It takes time, he said he would. He will.  A new era has arrived in Canada - a healthier one IMO. 

2016 brought positive change for cannabis but some countries are still struggling.  
We can not make them change their minds but we can educate by example.  
Less Alcohol, lower addiction rates for tobacco as well- If you believe what you read. Research it.  People are puffing more bud, with far less harmful results- as for brain damage- long term- careful- if that were the case we would see it amongst all those that did ‘inhale- back in the day, and pretty much calling the shots NOW.  
& More revenue going to go to our schools, hospitals and cities & towns etc. because of CANNABIS. I seriously hope the Indian reserves in Canada are researching growing as well. 

I just bought a tube of ‘Brilliant green’ gouache, for more Brilliant Bud painting!
Now, it’s a few days of painting & praying for me.. no social media.

Keeping active.  Mind & body, mostly mind- until I can get outside again. 
On-line with Craftsy, from the comfort of my office at my own convenience.  
lol - I took this class- complete, in one day.

I enjoyed it as it forced me to loosen up!  I am pleased with my first two works- painted very freely/quickly while watching the class..  watch, learn & then go try to  apply it to my own work.  That is the plan, anyhow.  
Each class, every book we read, every documentary- educates us further..
What will you do with your time today?
Me, I plan on becoming a 'better me' than I was yesterday..  
today I'll start with art, so far so good.

                                      Don’t tell me the sky’s the limit

Painting, Audio book, green tea & cannabis = bliss.
In every brush stroke there is love. Take a close look at how many brush strokes ther are.
There are too many hearts to count. Peace signs, words and more.. the most intimate details are painted into the moon and then I layer on top color to intentionally blanket my love  
& to keep  these arts alwasy a part of myself.  
My love to the universe in paint.  My hope is the audience wants to look at every stroke with a curiosity & will in turn feel the love I put in, without even realizing it!  
Am I a dreamer - you bet...  & now it is time to move onto a bigger piece & turn that dream into a reality. It is just a dream in my mind right now. 
There are even actual constellations, hee hee  I'm proud of myself- that took some research!  The colors flow, no thought is needed as my hand goes to the pallet as if it has a mind of it's own.  Passion is what I'm painting... with every tiny stroke.

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday with their desires coming true.

well - other than the house by the lake, surrounded by nature, moose,  mushrooms bear & deer.  lol

Now that Canada is talking legalization- many are in anxious anticipation to get a Cannabis friendly business up and running - including of course The 'Prince of Pot' Mark Emery - he was arrested on Friday for opening several new dipensaries in Montreal, he would be out in a matter of days & he is. Mark knew it would get media attention, I get it - we need to stop making arrests for cannabis & Mark is a business man- who also wants to  get a jump start on the industry becoming legal, many do.

This is the porblem... that I also 'get', if mark emery is permitted to open a 'pot shop', everyone is going to try to do it and it will come with problems.  Many will not be monitored and not much better imo than a street dealer simply 'opening a shop' somewhere.  What about the edibles? There needs to be some sort of quality control, not only for cannabis  but for food safety- I've had food poisioning, it's not fun.  There should be rules.
To say  Justin "is a disgrace...",   forgive the Prime Minsiter for focusing on many issues including most important  lives - missing Abrogianl Canadian Women.  Even I realize it takes time, reading when Justin was elected they said it would probably 'realistically' happen in 2017. Patience as with everything.  Mark & Jodie would have 'decent shops- I'd think, they should - they have been around a while now, but why should Mark Emery be permitted to do what others can not?  Simple  &  honestly, Mark can afford to fight it in court where as many could'nt.  Let him, it will bring attention to cannabis for all, by the time it goes to court- Cannabis will probably be legalized, it might just be thrown out, I HIGHLY doubt Mark will do any jail time this time around. ;)

Why still, are we focusing on Cannabis with dealths such as Fentanyl becoming an epidemic?  Could we not better use our resourses twoards this growig DEADLY problem?  159 dead in Vancouver alone.   Cannabis is clearly not a problem.   Money twoards education instead of  "pot shop busts' .  *Pot - ever notice how the media is reprecesnted as educational & intelligent - but can;'t seem to call this plant what it is?
Intentional  Ignorance dislayed at it's finest.  Pay attention. 

Parents if you care about your kids - Quit being distracted by bulshit. 

Trump - I don't know.  

Christmas is a week away, the only decorations are on the front lawn and the few lovely Christmas cards that are now trickling in.  No tree, no sparkly balls, no wrapped gifts... Christmas will come and go without any notice. I celebrate Jesus every day, he is my homeboy' so we're good.  lol - what do I say? It's just become a day for shopping and giving and debt consuming.  Perhaps next year I'll be in more of a decorating mood.  Why 'do it' - for the sake of appearances?  I did make a delicious 'Yule Log'- Buche De Noel complete with marzipan mushrooms, it turned out terrific. I'd make it again! 

On the positive side - Let's start a new Christmas tradition this year!
Toss that mistletoe  for some new greenery & in a few days- your bud will also be dry enough to smoke! Two joys in one! A kiss for someone special* & dry bud that's been blessed by love & kisses! Cured by Kisses!!  hee hee hee  Thats the best kind of bud, no?
I'm going to cut out  this 'budtoe' & hang it above my office door and use it when ever I see fit  ALL YEAR long- because that is how Christmas should be felt - with love and giving - all year long.

Christmas is as good a time as any to educate on Cannabis, young & old.
Firstly,  IF you still believe Cannabis hurts children, please educate yourself on the facts about Christmas trees, more children have died during the holidays due to Christmas tree fires than I ever wanted to know.  Entire famalies perish because of a holiday tradition. Leave the tree outside, alive.  I share with you now, only as a reminder !IF you have a real tree please take all precautions. Children who have died from cannabis = 0
Secondly, for all those that celebrate the birth of Jesus! Amen..   canabis is said to be an ingredient in the holy anointing oil used by Christ. Research it! You will become enlightened.  
Most important, again for all those who claim to belive in Jesus but not cannabis..
Ask yourself one thing:    W.W.J.D.?  
What would Jesus Do?  
Would he jail his brothers and sisters over a plant???
Never.

Set minds & each other free. this holiday!
Isn't that what the holiday is about  -  Celebration & LOVE?
Tell that to those in jail over a plant.. and their famalies this holiday.

See no evil- don't stand for bullshit. If you can take steps to correct it - please do. I once saw a DARE table with a cannabis display on it, I immediatly went to the person, told them it was false informaton, get rid of it or I'd complain. They did.   

Hear No evil, when you hear it- again take steps to inform and correct. Nicely.
There are enough assholes already out there  & there is no need for nasty.  
I have no issues asking questions when I hear false statements  and ask:
Can you prove that?  
That shuts liars up pretty quick.

Speak no evil.. don't.   Tell the truth, alwasy. 
Please don't humor me with lies.. it only leads to confusion.
When you hear people speak- & it is false information - ask questions. 
Demand results. 

On my mind.. I wrote a blog yesterday, went to make a correction then accidently deleted & was too tired to do over. lol   I have my christmas card list complete- all 100! I didn't think I had that many but the list came to us without and struggle- friends, family, Dr.s, business friends - even a movie star.. lol  It was a pleasurable experience sitting and thinking of everyone in our life who has 'touched' us one way or another.  

It is yet another grey day here in Ontario - wtf.
Glad I am NOT in B.C. I believe they do get worse winters than us.. I'll stay in Ontario.  
On a postivie note- what better to do on grey days- than paint!? Today It will be this Proverb:

another 'grey day' here in Ontario.. good day to paint!

My friend Jerry Kelly shared he had to have some dental work done - ouch.. Jerry made my Laughing Buddha in glass and I could not resist drawing this one with only 'three teeth' just to tease! lol   I bet Jerry used Cannabis to help with his pain - now that he can, legally!
Woo woo USA.  The more that I think of it,  anything you hear 'negative' in the USA regarding cannabis will be fearmongering! There is no way Cannabis is turning back now.  Thankfully.  No more people in prison over a plant. 
More and more educated on the healing powers of this plant!
Let's not forget, reactional (are you attending the next Cannabis cup? I was thinking about it  I'm curious how it differs from Canadian attitudes at the moment)  use will increase & hopefully, the more deadly opiate/alcohol consuption will decrease.  Give thanks!

(she types yearning)  are you reading this Jer?  lol!  I love to "bug" Jerry, especially regarding our NEW project - I am terribly excited, I love Kermit!!... & Mr.s Piggy.   Heee Heee!!  I send him messages with tiny photos of it to remind him, as 'if' he has forgotten.
I believe I drew the ultimate tribute to them >:)     hee hee hee.  Wait & see!

It is Jerrys focus, life, livelyhood & most of all it is his passion.

Kiss me under a thousand stars..    
I was listening to the song and suddenly these bears appeared.  
I'm not sure where they are coming from, I'm not overly fond of bears...  at least I don't think I am.  
I know, I really dispise seeing them shot.  

They look terrific on a dark background. I love to paint fur.. and when I think Canada- I think 'bear' over.. elephant or lion. These bears are all about Love.  It's that simple.  
 Just happy to be together.  ​Looking, waiting, longing.

I added Bud because it was late when I was painting, my hand sore but I just  'filled' a BIG blunt- 'Palm papers' I tried (pre -rolled so you just fill it) Storm does not like the smell, I'm not overly keen other than the ease.  BUT I smoked it*, put on my headphones - turned up the tunes..  I felt great and just kept painting until I became too tired. Not too sore.  
What do you do about arthritis?
I do take an anti inflamatory - when 'I feel' I need it.  
Cannabis also helps I believe with assisting the 'mental ability', which keeps us from focusing on our pain but instead allows us to keep focused on passion.  All kinds ;) 
I'snt that what a medicine should do?  Isn't that what love does?

Focus on your passion & it will surly bloom! 

* I do smoke my bong in my office with Bird- and he does not seem to mind, as a matter of fact- I think he enjoys it, he likes to fly around in the evening - little show off that he is! & sings more.   BUT I do NOT smoke a full blunt in the same room - I leave.  I dont want to hotbox bird ;) 
It's nice to think of others...  no?

Wow, are you watching what's happening with the cannabis industry in Canada? 
I can't keep up.   ;)
Mostly good.. Some  crazy ideas about cannabis and alcohol
- that should never happen. 

Tis the season to be joyful!  I hope more people choose to smoke this season rather than drink alcohol! That being said - if cannabis impaires your ability to drive then refrain, especially if you are NOT use to it.  Alcohol is damaging on several levels & with the season comes 'have another!'   Please do not drink & drive with Alcohol in your sytem.

Yes, he will be my Chrsitmas card for this year!  I will spead Joy, Truth & Education hopefully the card will be displayed with all the others causing a conversation:

A positive note!  
I've spent  the day designing a new logo!  How exciting!
I presented it to the client, his comment   "I thought it would be more cartoony"  
I replied:  "No, I do know how to get a little serious now & then." ...lol      
He "Loved it".                 I knew he would. 
He offerd a couple of 'changes' and I offered my opinion on why I thought otherwise, he agreed.  I do have a bit of artistic experience ;) It's nice to be  appreciated.  Althought, I won't deny - he came to me with the idea & thought it was terrific, so my creating was quite simple.  

Spread some JOY this season!

Never, I won't do it.   It is what 'saves' & inspires me every single day of my life.
For example- when ever I've seen a helicopter circle around- I  yell "Come get me! Here I am!"    I've alwasy been this way- isnt this called 'Dreaming BIG? '
When I was younger - on long car rides.. I'd be riding a horse outside the car or better yet be on the back of a bird! On the rare occassion - even a flying carpet would do.
You've never been on the back of a bird?   Awww... that's too bad.

I have constantly - my entire life been told- "you're dreaming."
I'll tell you what... I am and alwasy have been a dreamer,  & I am a lot further today than many people I grew up with that never did.  In many ways. 

Dreamer? A dreamer who makes her dreams a reality and is not afraid to continue to do so.
Not all my dreams come true - not yet.  it is my imagination which carries me through.
I won't wallow in - it's not going to happen - I continually think of  - what it's going to be like when it happens!!!  & IF IT does not happen - then it just means soemthing BETTER is on the way!  I don't have failures - I have lessons.    ;)

I will continue to dream, every detail will play out in my head- oh, what pleasure I will explore today! Like the cave of my mind- looking for  paintings never before discovered!       If you dream it enough- it soon becomes a reality, perhaps not to every specification but the  feeling, the joy, the excitement, the adventure - will all still be there.
If you dream it - you desire it you make it happen- you don't even realize it. 
Just by drawing my dreams my heart feels bigger, bolder and BETTER.  
Time to paint!!
