D.S.M ?

How many people know what the D.S.M is ? It is a book.  A book that describes mental disorders - so that - when you go to to a Dr., they can look in this book and see your symptoms and diagnose you with a MENTAL disorder and prescribe you drugs!
There are NO facts for these diagnoses. They can not be proven.
The NEXT copy if the D.S.M is out this year 2012. It is anticipated that some of the possible new disorders added will be - internet addiction, shopping addiction, -road rage, apathy- to name a few. You could be labled with a mental disorder according to this fictious book. FACT.        So?! You ask...
WELL once you are diagnosed using 'made up' conditions in a book - other people use it also - like Insurance companies, judicial systems use it in sentencing, custody battles - all based on LIES.  MADE up conditions to sell DRUGS. Drugs that are addictive, cause serious harm and many times KILL. PLEASE educate yourself and your kids today .
Oh - In an earlier edition of the D.S.M  Homosexuality was in fact listed as a mental illness, until there was a protest- then it suddenly was no longer a mental disorder ? More like a pathetic attempt to ruin more lives. Thank God people spoke up!
We need to do that with more.
I suggest you watch - The marketing Of madness.
 http://www.cchr.org/videos/marketing-of-madness.html
If you do not - who will you blame when you have ben diagnosed with a mental disorder and have your rights taken from you? Education is POWER.

risky |ˈriskē|adjective ( riskier , riskiest )full of the possibility of danger, failure, or loss:
it was much too risky to try to disarm him.
Last week I read  twice  'Risky' was used when talking about legalizing Cannabis
one was Obama and he said "The Risk factor is too high" and Gov. Cuomo - of New York said "until the Risk's out weight the benefits.." Makes me think they have so little to go on they even use each other speeches.  Really?!!! Risky- what is risky!
I take a bigger Risk every day of my life just by going out to check the mail!   How can you say Cannabis is RISKY!? Risky that you might get high and feel better??  Cause that seems to be the most common side effect of Cannabis.  Can you honestly tell me that Cannabis is Risker than owning a gun? How many kids over the years have found their parents guns and shot themselves (or someone else)-  If a kid found Cannabis in his dad's drawer -  he's not going to kill himself -Risky?  Talking on your cell phone, thousands do this daily- while driving  and die - even while walking - RISKY!!!
Drinking too much alcohol? RISKY *for too many reasons - unwanted pregnancies, rape, alcohol poisoning, impaired driving - I am sure you can think of a few - hey even getting drunk and waking up possibly covered in permanent marker  could prove riskier - especially when it's posted all over FB the next day!

Risky?  Prescribed medications - kill people daily - Risky?
THE fact IS CANNABIS has never killed anyone - so RISKY? PLEASE!

Risky - BULLSHIT!   Demand them to define Risky.  The tell them of all the TRULY Risky
things in this life.  As for it outweighing the benefits? - Thousands who are helped medicinally every day? A plant  that can be grown in ones own yard?
-Yep, something tells  me that  the 'Risky'  part for them - if you grow it in your own back yard - it is very Risky that they will lose  billions of dollars that pharmaceutical  companies could be charging  for Cannabis as a medicine. - I think soon Risks will suddenly disappear..
Cannabis Risky - Please. If this is the best you can do - TIME to LEGALIZE!
In my opinion - it is getting very RISKY  NOT to Legalize Cannabis...
because WE the people are TIRED of being LIED to and sent to jail!

I have had another person contact me telling me how Cannabis has saved her life - I get a few quite often I have decided to share  because it is different and  one thing I have learned with all we have experienced this journey YOU CAN not always see pain! Think about your back hurting - can anyone see that - no - not unless you are hunched over.  Here is Caroles story:I am 48, married 26 years to my best friend. We have 3 grown children, and 7 grandkids! 2 Dogs Snoops or wiener dog, Jeepers are Chiweenie, 2 cats Trapper John M.D. (Mouse Detective) and Itsie Bitsie!
We love the outdoors, gardening, hiking, camping, and finally I can enjoy again!
In 1998 I tore my articular cartilage; I had surgery to repair it. After surgery things still were not right, I started having problems. After a year of ongoing pain and problems I was sent to a specialist in Seattle. I told him about my leg feeling like it was burning constantly, that when anything touched my knee it would cause an increase in pain, clothing, sheets, air condition a breeze anything that touched my knee created more pain. I soon learned that other things triggered the pain, like a change in weather, stress, too much activity, too little activity, taking a shower created pain.
I was diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), also known as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy. Because chronic pain is an invisible condition, it’s difficult for others to accept that something is wrong; after all you don’t look sick…
I was on three different anti-depressants, one anti-anxiety medication, for the pain I took, 4 60mg. of Ms-Contin, 4 2mg. of Dilaudid, and 4 10mg. Vicodins, a day. I also have two spinal Cord Simulators (SCS) implanted, they have wires that are connected to certain nerves in my spine and sends out a electrical signal to help block the pain signal being sent to the brain, that also helps but still have pain.
After years of being an advocate for chronic pain, I learned more about other treatments for chronic pain. One treatment that I was hearing about was Cannabis. At first I was like "o hell no, just a legal way to get high…."  but so many people were using and it was helping! So I researched it. I then tried it I was shocked at how well it really did help. It does not take away all of the pain, but neither did the pain pills, neither do the SCS units! So I got my Washington State medical Cannabis License two years ago. During this time, I have gone off all anti-depressants and the anti-anxiety pills. And I now take one pain pill a day! I also lost 58 pounds! As I said it did not take away all of the pain, it helps me deal with “pain flares” and sleepless nights. The best part is I feel better! I use tincture, smoke, vap, and some mediables.

This is what I hear all the time. The thing is I don't need to hear it because we have the best proof...  Living proof.   xox <><

I doubt it!  I doubt many are really aware of the long term effects of many of the medications on the market today.  I could not believe when I researched how many pills are NOT tested for very long at all.  Some only after a few MONTHS of testing are put on the market for all us lab rats. Even the ones that are tested longer - turns out that the results are not always recorded properly or simply lied about.
This is murder on a large scale. Really.  Slow murder.  Murder all the same.
Another problem is that many pills react with each other and the side effects of the combined medications can prove even more harmful - sometimes even causing death. DEATH by pills that are to make you better?  We are so trusting.  Trusting of people who only interest is $$$$$$$. Not our health, Not our future and certainly NOT our children!
BEFORE you take anything- Educate yourself.  Don't have the time? YOU will wish you did when you have some crazy TWITCH - or even worse lose the function of your liver, kidney  or brain.
If I had one wish today it would be that parents STOP medicating their children with drugs. The poor little tiny brains don't even have a chance.  I have to say Storm and I were talking about this and when he was younger (8)  because of all he was experiencing he was prescribed an anti depressant. HE REFUSED to take them -Thank God - knowing what we do now.  WE NEED to think long term for the safety of our children and our future.

More than the fact that we 'LET' Cannabis prohibition continue -we should be ashamed that
we are a race, people, generation that is poisoning our youth! Recently I was reading children as young as 2 are being prescribed Ritalin! W.T.F?  At 2!?  Children are not being allowed to be children - the moment they act out - by that I mean being a kid! The are labeled difficult and prescribed a dumbing down medication !   Medications that cause serious side effects- long term addiction - and even death. Take one hour and educate yourself  by watching either Doc. - The Marketing of Madness   or  Generation Rx < can be seen on Netflix.   Illegal drugs get all the attention as prescribed medications abuse goes un-noticed and casually given to our children.  SHAME on teachers, parents and Doctors! Is your child out of control or perhaps they just need some attention. It is a fact that 20 years ago they got more attention  naturally - why- because we did not have the internet! Well we did - just not as rampant as now.  Life over all is busier but now we have to twitter and Fb and surf and blog. I know how much time it takes me daily and realize if Storm was little I would not have enough time for 1/2 of what I do on the computer.
I have a friend with 3 young kids  all under 6, and I have noticed that she posts all day - posts her game levels- pot farm accomplishments, plans for the evening..  all the while I wonder what are the kids doing? How much attention can you possibly be giving your kids. FULL attention.  Instead many parents choose to medicate their children - plop them in front of the T.V.  and go about their busy lives. You may think that's fine now. Wait 15 years.
Teachers who suggest - stick to teaching!! Unless you are going to care for the child 24/7- how dare a teacher make such a suggestion that will affect a child on such a level for the rest of his/her life!  Dr.s who prescribe for children - KNOW the facts.  Perents who think it would be easier for them if their child was on Ritalin -
EASIER FOR WHO? (see toon below)
BEFORE you try a prescribed medication - TRY LOVE - LOTS of LOVE and attention! YOU brought them into this world! LIVE UP to their expectations! These little miracles of life need our love and attention and others to speak up against such crimes!
IT is a CRIME .  Please share.

Passing the torch... Recently when I became legal to use cannabis  I guess in fact it was indeed my son who was passing me the torch. Pun intended.  Being ill and not knowing what is causing it had me questioning my medications - especially as I kept getting worse, yet I know how Cannabis helped Storm and still my own mind did not quite click - why? Because I have grown up in a generation  where I have been passed the torch of prescribed drugs. I also have a mouth full of mercury - because they thought that was a good idea too when we were kids.  The traditions of ours before us. Habits?  NOT always are good traditions passed down. Some habits/traditions should be left in the past. Racism belongs in the past.
Celebrating every event with alcohol is a tradition in many families - that belongs in the past! Things that are past down from our parents for generations - just because?  We need to learn that NOT all of them are good. Someone commented on a post and I thought- he is so right !- Dr.s -We were raised watching television shows that glorify them - we take what ever they say as the 'Word'. We trust them, the past few days you can not pick up a paper without reading about many Dr.s who were lied to by the makers of Oxycodone - They told Dr.s that is was less addictive than other medications. The makers LIED, now people are dying, overdosing and on a rush to stock up before they make the pills into the new - gel type - that is not as easily snortable ! WTF? There is a SERIOUS abuse problem with these drugs. The "NEW & IMPROVED OXYNEO" pill will be just as bad:  http://winnipeg.ctv.ca/servlet/an/local/CTVNews/20120301/oxycontin-oxycodone-replacement-health-120301/20120301/?hub=WinnipegHome    Chances are my son would have been taking them if not for his Cannabis.  It is time we moved past - traditions, habits even opinions or values that are outdated.  Educate ourselves - learn to trust our gut.
If you must "pass the torch" of something .. let it be of good things. Knowledge - a desire for reading, peace, kindness, courage, HOPE. xox <><

While researching Designer Drugs - I am flooded with toon ideas, SADLY in a way.  I had no idea it is  the problem that it is...  living in my Cannabis bubble. Thank God for this bubble.  I have never taken Designer Drugs/Ecstacy and hope not to - especially slipped into a drink like so many do to unsuspecting women.
I know parents are busy - been there done that, stress, $$$, kids, life, 99%  so I know that we don't have time - heck we can not keep up with technology  of cell phones never mind designer drugs  and with little kids well, we figure they won't -
HAVE you seen these F&^%*! Pills!?  Really- I had no idea!  The image below is of the pill Ecstasy.  Cute, colorful little dog, hearts, flowers, butterflies...
had someone yesterday walked up to me and said "want one?" and held out their hand I would have picked one up in a second and popped into my mouth! REALLY.
They look like Candy. That is the IDEA.  They LOOK harmless.
I pray this is being taught by D.A.R.E. instead of the lies they spread right now on the Medicinal Cannabis page -*Mama bears fur along the back is standing on end.
That is an entirely different blog -coming SOON.
I thought maybe it was just me - so this afternoon I asked 20 people - all ages, educated some with teens, little ones and some with grown children.  IT's NOT just me I had 18 replies - NO they did not know that is what the pill Ecstacy looked like - had no idea and thought the same thing I did. HOW can you not ? -LOOK at them!
Even one that did was amazed at the wide range of colors.  From all that I am reading it is  a much more serious problem than Cannabis.  Yet - if most us found a baggie of weed we would know what it was.  Yet the one that is ruining lives, kills, is addictive, easily available, made daily in a home near you and is CUTE & CHEAP  we don't even know what it looks like??
I had to draw this in hopes that one person - a parent that did not know now KNOWS!!!  Perhaps they will show their children. I pray that that toon never comes true but part of me thinks it might already have. I don't want to research that. Ecstasy is the most frequently mentioned drug in telephone calls to Poison Control Centers. In my search, sadly this was one of the first  headlines to appear : 9 Jan 2012 – A 22-year-old woman died from an apparent ecstasy overdose at a Vancouver house party early Sunday morning.  22  at a party for a good time. I wish she would have smoked  some cannabis instead   ;-(
NOT CANDY -  May cause death- available most places (schools) and CUTE & CHEAP!
SHOW your kids. Teach your kids.  Or would you rather someone else?
Love
Georgia xox <><  Have faith

So this started with the question Designer Drugs or Cannabis? You tell me.
I would have picked the happy face or the cute squirrel...

Actual PILLS! WTF!? PLEASE TEACH YOUR KIDS NOW!

Prozac & Paxil  - I have been on both at one time in my life. When my twitch started to get really bad I stopped taking all medications. That is when I started to look into 'stuff'.  I have taken anti-depressants on and off (mostly on) since my late teens. I'd rather not get into details, it was painful while lived so why remember... move on.  I can tell you, to this date I do remember that I went though SERIOUS withdrawal trying to go OFF of Paxil because It made me feel terrible. At the time I thought this is what it must be for an alcoholic. Yet today with all that we do know, children - yes CHILDREN are still prescribed anti-depressants when having a difficult time.  The difficult time -perhaps for many parents dealing with an overactive kid/teen. Teachers who recommend anti-depressants should LOSE their job.  Are they teachers or Dr.s?  Even Dr.s are not educated on all the side effects of anti depressants; they are instead convinced by a REP. from the company that makes the drug that they are the newest and greatest thing ever! I do not blame Dr.s -it is their job to try to figure out that is wrong with us and the hundreds of other patients they have, they hardly have time to do this let alone research each new drug on the market. Sales Reps. and the companies they work for should be held accountable.  If I was selling something I would make sure I know all about it.  Legal Drug pushers.  Do you know someone on Paxil or Prozac? If so share this doc. you just might save a life. http://www.cchr.org/videos/marketing-of-madness/introduction.html
There is no mention of cannabis in this video. There need not be, but any one with a brain will soon realize that is is in fact the reason why Cannabis is kept illegal.
I can tell you I am living proof - when I was told to stop my antidepressants I worried!  Now off completely for over a year I can tell you my head feels clearer that it has for years! It is the Cannabis that helps me now with depression. YES, I still get depressed, we  ALL deal with some very difficult 'events' in our lives. We need to focus on  the positive, keep busy and pray for a better day- it comes. More importantly we need to look around and be thankful for what we do have. Do you have food for your belly?  That there is reason enough to be thankful for another day.
I will be doing several cartoons about depression and P.T.S.D - it is important that Cannabis  is an option for so many before they are forced to put toxic chemicals into their body.
