The sun shining, my guys off to work, laundry is in and I'm already drawing and it's only 10:00 a.m.! Was thinking about what I'm grateful for this morning; it is the simple every day pleasures.
 MUSIC!  Where would I be without it? I have it on all the time. A music for every thing I do, clean or draw I have preferred tunes to toon to. Deval Premal, The Commodores, new stuff old stuff, it's all good! 
Books! Currently I am reading 3, The Pot Book- material and education,  The Clan of the Cave Bears - entertainment and educational - especially regarding all the herbal medicines
and The Purpose Driven Life ` because I like it. 
Paper! Picked up a new batch of paper and I'm excited! When I ran out recently it was in fact I realized like and addiction! I could not stop thinking about it.. was looking at my empty shelf every time I walked by. I was itchin' to draw!  XOX to Jim  for providing me with my FIX which in turn provides you with your georgia toons!  Paying it forward.
Prayer! Do what ever it takes ~ for what ever reason - It is the only thing that can calm me right down. My meditation.  It forces me to quiet, listen and hope. Puts things into perspective.   These things I do daily and never really thought how blessed I am to  have all these rituals at my finger tips. So many in this world do not have such simple luxuries  well except for music, music & prayer  we all access to them. Drumming  on a rock with a stick, humming a tune  praying with beads or pebbles.  What ever it takes.
DRAWING!! Where would I be with out it!?   LOST.  I have decided today to do something good with my drawing, every Monday I will post a toon and a price. The money for the toon will go to shipping and  donating to a charity of my choice - which I will add the link to. 
Todays toon: Drew this a long time ago but had to re-draw this a.m. (thought it might help with CHICKEN sales! ;-DDD) Now you don't have to guess anymore. I've answered one of lifes questions for you, go and enjoy your day! xox

Well what a weekend that was! Thanksgiving weekend is our set up the display (outside) weekend, that and turkey ;-) WHAT a beautiful weekend it was! A Canadian -Indian summer?  I think that is what it is called. It was hot! Short weather, not seeming like fall at all.  Norm started at 7:30a.m. on Sat.  and I swear, he went right until Monday night! I took photos every 1/2 hour (posted on the Hubby & Halloween page!) it looks terrific!  I think ThanksGiving is one of my favorite holidays and nice to actually GIVE Thanks. I have much to be thankful for.   
Sadly, we did lose someone very close to us as well. Our good friend Don. The only reason this loss is easier to deal with I think, is because he suffered a long time with pain and infection.  It still makes us feel sad. We are suddenly flooded with memories. Thankfully, I have many good ones of Don. Especially jumping in the pool EARLY MAY one year when it was only in the 50's  - just so he could say he was the first one in the pool that year! 
Oh - Did I mention he was 72 when he did that!??? He is missed by all of us. He was a second grandpa to Storm. He use to like to sit and watch Norm put the display up a few years in a row... now he has the best seat in the house;-)
