More than the fact that we 'LET' Cannabis prohibition continue -we should be ashamed that
we are a race, people, generation that is poisoning our youth! Recently I was reading children as young as 2 are being prescribed Ritalin! W.T.F?  At 2!?  Children are not being allowed to be children - the moment they act out - by that I mean being a kid! The are labeled difficult and prescribed a dumbing down medication !   Medications that cause serious side effects- long term addiction - and even death. Take one hour and educate yourself  by watching either Doc. - The Marketing of Madness   or  Generation Rx < can be seen on Netflix.   Illegal drugs get all the attention as prescribed medications abuse goes un-noticed and casually given to our children.  SHAME on teachers, parents and Doctors! Is your child out of control or perhaps they just need some attention. It is a fact that 20 years ago they got more attention  naturally - why- because we did not have the internet! Well we did - just not as rampant as now.  Life over all is busier but now we have to twitter and Fb and surf and blog. I know how much time it takes me daily and realize if Storm was little I would not have enough time for 1/2 of what I do on the computer. 
I have a friend with 3 young kids  all under 6, and I have noticed that she posts all day - posts her game levels- pot farm accomplishments, plans for the evening..  all the while I wonder what are the kids doing? How much attention can you possibly be giving your kids. FULL attention.  Instead many parents choose to medicate their children - plop them in front of the T.V.  and go about their busy lives. You may think that's fine now. Wait 15 years.
Teachers who suggest - stick to teaching!! Unless you are going to care for the child 24/7- how dare a teacher make such a suggestion that will affect a child on such a level for the rest of his/her life!  Dr.s who prescribe for children - KNOW the facts.  Perents who think it would be easier for them if their child was on Ritalin -

BEFORE you try a prescribed medication - TRY LOVE - LOTS of LOVE and attention! YOU brought them into this world! LIVE UP to their expectations! These little miracles of life need our love and attention and others to speak up against such crimes!

I was out the other day and saw these wine glasses at a big department store. Wine glass that says on it  'Mommy's sippy cup'. What kind of message is that sending to kids? Yet no one seems overly concerned.  O.K don't get me wrong, I LOVE a nice glass of wine - well did, and will still from time to time enjoy a nice glass on a special occasion (love Toasted Head *red) - so it's NOT about the wine. I have had several times when someone has commented on what I was wearing, once it was earrings with  cannabis leaves on them; made for me by an artist friend and beautiful with green beads, another time was a necklace that another friend bought me - it has a glass pot leaf, black on one side and colorful on the other. Both times I had negative comments. Over a leaf, nowhere do they say 'SMOKE grass' or 'Pick Pot' .. or 'Mommy's leafy helper'.  Yet for some reason these 'Mommy's sippy cup' are not only acceptable but it sells for about$12 a glass -Not filled with wine.  
A sippy cup is what little babies & toddlers use so they don't spill stuff so what exact message are we trying to send? This is your sippy cup and when you get bigger this is a sippy cup too. Who will be blamed when the child has an alcohol problem? Mommy's sippy cup?  YET this is O.K.?  Alcohol -legal, kills people every day, destroys lives, physically and financially, Cannabis saves lives, eases pain and suffering, helps people unwind and has never killed anyone - Illegal.  YET -I get dirty looks for a necklace?    
I am very tired of the double standards. I do know people who can drink in moderation - I will admit I know many more that don't - they drink to feel shit faced.  
Some of the worst to criticize Cannabis users are Alcohol consumers.  If you want to drink - drink, but how dare anyone criticize someone for their Cannabis use, especially when used for medicinal reasons. Don't smoke a joint but pop back a few martini's -that's o.k.
F*&^%$ Hypocrites.  A hypocrite is the kind of politician who would cut down a redwood tree, then mount the stump and make a speech for conservation.

***In 1996 He introduced a bill calling  for  life sentence for anyone who imports 2 (TWO) ounces of marijuana into the U.S.A.   AND  the DEATH Penalty for repeat offenders.   Are you paying attention?  EVEN if you do not use cannabis - imagine how this could effect you - someone you love. 
I believe in God.  Apparently so do many Americans - to the point where they just passed in a bill that they keep the saying "In God we trust..."

   O.k. tell me - how do you think God is going to feel knowing that people are put to DEATH over a PLANT that he put here for all of us to use!??   SERIOUSLY, think about that.   If you do not believe in God  ~ to be put to death over a plant!?  THINK about that!  Death - Not for murder, rape, child abuse, human traffiking - I wonder, will people be given a life sentence for importing humans for slave labour in the the United states??  Will they be given the death sentence for repeat offense?  I can only believe if this was his stand in 1996 - that with that kind of a mind - his intentions will only be worse now.  
So keep an eye on Newt.  Or be prepared to watch loved ones die.
